Just goes to show -- no day can be perfect.
I woke up without an alarm, did Pilates, studied (feeling confident for that Physio test tomorrow!), took a nap, went to the anatomy lab to review x-rays and cross sections…. It was almost a perfect day! Then I got pooped on by a bird on my walk home.

The kids have it all figured out.
femmegedon: Because “sometimes I wish I weren’t famous and was just a fish” God, I wish these parents had it all figured out.

Michelle Duggar is Pregnant.... Again.
For all of you keeping count, that is number 20. On #19, she almost died leaving 18 of her kids motherless. Given her history of C-sections (higher risk of uterine perforation) and uterine prolapses, it is VERY IRRESPONSIBLE for her to do this again. If this isn’t an ad for birth control, I don’t know what is. This also kind of makes my skin crawl. [Shudders]

That awkward moment...
That awkward moment when you find out that the neighbors you’ve heard having loud, raucous sex on numerous occasions are in your class and sit right in front of you in anatomy lectures. Yep. That just happened.

Things that kind of freak me out.
I’m just gonna say it. Pregnancy is fucking weird, and it’s one of those things that will probably continue to weird me out no matter how educated I become about it.  Reason #547: Did you know that amniotic fluid is mostly comprised of fetal urine? That’s right, your little bun in the oven just pees right there in your uterus. But wait… Wouldn’t all that pee just...

So I have this kick-ass $6,000 desktop computer that is kind of the best machine you can possibly imagine. I like it better than I like some people, to be completely honest. Well, I bought this wireless HP printer over the summer, and as advertised, it says it works with Windows 7, which is the OS I have on my primary hard drive. Fantastic. Because I’d like to be able to print from either my...

Fortune 500
I heard someone talking today about how Apple was the greatest company in the world in terms of total business. I’m not even going to attempt to argue one way or the other on that statement, but then I hear him say, “They have more money in the bank than the US government.” ……. Ummmm, damn son — like that’s hard to do. At around $14 trillion in US debt,...

thinspeaux: http://www.csmonitor.com/Business/Latest-News-Wires/2011/1027/Occupy-Oakland-Protesters-rally-around-wounded-veteran You’re fucking kidding me right? Democracy is messy. This is not democracy. This is a police state. This is totalitarianism. Democracy is the right to assemble, to protest. Not the right to shoot projectiles into a group of people trying to help a veteran YOUR POLICE...
